Calendar Advisory: The Addams Family Musical: April 27-28

The Addams Family, The 2018 Rosarian Addams Family Musical, Addams

WHAT:
A cast of 35 middle school Rosarian Academy students are stepping into the weird but wonderful world of The Addams Family in the musical production on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28. The musical comedy with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and the book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice features show-stopping numbers, impressive special effects and lots of laughs.

The play tells the original story of Wednesday Addams (Harper Throop, 6th grade) falling in love with a respectable young man, Lucas Beineke (Nicholas Stewart, 6th grade), who her parents have never met. She confides in her father, Gomez (Grey Bauer, 7th grade), and asks him to keep her romance a secret from her mother, Morticia (Emma Hardyman, 8th grade). Eventually, a dinner is hosted at the family’s macabre mansion where unexpected events occur and life is forever changed for both the ghoulish Addams and normal Beineke families.

Rosarian’s cast and crew of talented young artists and performers is led by Theatre Arts Director Robert Sherman, with choreography by Jeanne Bennet and musical direction by Gay Dedo. The set is professionally designed by Dean Landhuis.

The Addams Family performances are Friday, April 27 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, April 28 at 2:00 PM at 807 N. Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. Tickets are $6 for students and $12 for adults and can be purchased at ra.booktix.com. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Box Office on the days of the performance for $12.
